HOW TO LEAVE A LASTING IMPRESSION AT THE OFFICE

049 - Office Style Inspirations

Suits by Zegna

Good Morning Gents!

For a lot of us, the boundaries of wearing a full suits has become more flexible. It doesn't have to be full black suits, and no one wants to look exactly like the nerd sitting right next to you. Therefore, here's some of the inspirations we found that will spice up your charm in this summer.

First off, consider suit separates. Mix and match colors has become very common and easy to shop. Keep your pants color subtle and you can throw on a more 'summer-ish' color blazer. Yes, we mean a light color! Because every individual piece is office appropriate, it never strikes an awkward 'too trendy' vibe to your colleague.

But yes! You look different. By different, I mean BETTER. The difference between charmer and office slave.

If suit pants aren't your office requirement, try differentiate your style with highlights of bright color.  (Left)

Casual smart style has been in the market for years, you have seen celebrity dressing similar styles. Here is the magic, your suits has to fit you well, then pair those killers with a crewneck shirt or sweater. (Center)

Mix and match patterns is also a way to show others you have a taste and know how to style. Keep your pieces in the same color tones and leave the texture on the jacket. (Right)

BLEND IN? OR STAND OUT? COLOR SPEAKS

#009 - The Contemporary Colors

Do you realize once we are in winter, our color options are drastically reduced? We can't wear light colors, no more white, ivory, but dark colors. At the end, we end up picking that navy blue jacket and black pants because it is just easy, mindless and it seems... 'appropriate'.

You are right, even designers tend to choose darken colors for their winter collections (Besides  Australia, Mexico, Brazil… the countries with no winter weather…). As popular (or boring) as navy blue and black are on the market, there are much more options out there. Of course, you can wear the same thing like everyone else on the street, or you can decide to show your taste of style beyond the safe choices. Like Matrix, a red pill or the blue pill… For our gents who are bold enough to explore and experiment, here are some classy styles that will keep the admiring attentions on you.

THE GENTS IN SWEATER WEATHER

# 003 - How to charm your way thru the sweater weather

Thanksgiving is coming next week. You finally dragged yourself to get that haircut that you should have got two weeks ago, finalized your traveling plan to visit the family you have not seen for ages... what else? The turkey! No one really cares but you know you will be responsible to praise the cooking. Speaking of what to wear to visit your family, it's time to bring some charm. Let your sweater speak for you.

This fall Tommy Hilfiger presents their runway with a sense of elegance for the men. Throughout their Fall Winter 2013 runway we saw a huge amount of sophisticated checks on the models. For example, the beige wool Price of Wales check sweater (above right $300) brings out the warmth and the elegance. While we all might have too many solid color sweaters piling up in the closet. This sweater is certainly a good find to impress. Complete the outfit with matching Burgundy Price of Wales check pants ($300)

Grey/navy wool sweater with white trigonometric motif, £600; navy narrow trousers; navy belted trench coat, £1150, all by Dior Homme
Toffee/white/black chevron brushed stretch-wool/cashmere sweater, £795, by Burberry Prorsum; Black wool trousers, £195, by Burberry London
