YAE TONG'S FW 14 PRESENTATION AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Beyond the Closet

The New York Fashion Week kick started yesterday and Style 4 Gents are invited to the Yae Tong' menswear presentation for the FW 14. Let's take a look on our recap for the latest style trend.

The event is located at Pier 59 with models lined up on stage for the presentation

Color contrast is still a great way to stand out from the classic style. There will be plenty of color blocks sweater and jackets for the next winter season. Yae Tong definitely finds a great way to showcase the color contrast on this bomber jacket with military details.

Here is another military jacket with red piping detail, trendy and masculine at the same time

We also love this urban plaid duffle coat with contrast sleeves

One of our favorite looks in the collection, the khaki wool double breasted blazer with a wool hooded sweater pairing with the leather backpack. Urban, chic and absolute stylish

Throughout the collection we also see a lot of wool material pants, notice we are slowly shifting away from the slim tight pants to a more relaxed fit style. The cargo pocket might be another trend that we can keep an eye on.

Sneakers in black and white colors are sponsored by Reebok

Most of the gents tend to shy away from very bold prints on a suit, but Yae Tong presents a camo print suits that is subtle but at the same time it stands out itself. Doesn't it look really classy with the khaki green cable turtle neck sweater?

We are continue seeing the trend for backpack in this coming year, stylish men (and the celebrities) probably can't get their hands off the upscale version with the leather.

Smile! That's the wrap!

DETOX MONDAY | YOUR POST NFL WORKOUT IN 12 MINS

036 - Monday Workout

In the past 24 hours, we might drink too much beer and eat too much junk food during the not-so-exciting Super bowl... ... and the post game party that we were not sober enough to remember. However, since you are able to drag yourself off the bed today and bare a slight hangover to work, we are suggesting a 12 minutes work out that will certainly detox some of your guilty pleasure  from yesterday.

Time to work those lazy muscles!

Ideal Results: Deliver strength gains, cardio conditioning, and a boosted metabolism

Remarks: Perform move 1A, then immediately do 1B to complete the first super-set. Rest 30 seconds, then do moves 2A and 2B. Rest 30 seconds, then repeat the whole circuit twice more.

1A / Power Jumps
Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart and arms extended at shoulder height in front of you, palms facing floor. Jump up as high as possible as you bend your legs, drawing knees toward chest and hands. Land softly. Immediately repeat. Continue for 45 seconds.

1B / Pike Hops
Get in high-plank position with wrists under shoulders and feet together. Lift hips toward ceiling as you jump feet toward hands without bending knees. Jump back to starting position. Immediately repeat. Continue for 45 seconds.

2A / Superman Push-ups
Get in high-plank position with wrists under shoulders and feet shoulder-width apart. Bend elbows, lowering chest toward floor. Pause. As you return to start, lift left arm to shoulder height in front of you and right leg to hip height behind you. Repeat, this time lifting right arm and left leg. Continue for 45 seconds.

2B / Mountain Climbers
Get in high-plank position with wrists under shoulders and feet hip-width apart. At a consistent pace, draw left knee toward chest, then immediately return to start as you draw right knee toward chest. Continue, alternating legs, for 45 seconds.

Regimen: Arm Yourself
If you have six extra minutes, adding this super-set to the circuit will burn out your upper body. Here's how: After completing the first round, rest 30 seconds as directed, then perform move 3A immediately followed by move 3B (below). Rest 30 seconds, then run through all three super-sets two more times

3A / Single-Leg Bent Over Rows
Stand with left leg forward, right leg back and hold a 25-pound dumbbell in right hand at side, palm facing body. Bend left leg and hinge forward from hips until back is nearly parallel to the floor. Bend right elbow, drawing weight toward chest. Return to start. Do 15 reps, then switch sides to complete set.

3B / Renegade Rows
Get in high-plank position with wrists under chest, each hand holding a 25-pound dumbbell, and feet shoulder-width apart. Bend right elbow, drawing weight toward chest. Lower, then repeat, this time bending left elbow. That's one rep. Do 10.

THE TRENDING FIVE STARS APPAREL

035 - Chrome Hearts Five Star Tee

Jay-Z wears Givenchy sweatshirt

It all started from GIVENCHY's Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci, incorporated the 5 stars from American flag to their menswear apparel. It became an instant hit in the market. Soon after, brands from different countries like 40 OZ NYC (U.S), STEREO VINYLS (Korea) and ETUDES STUDIO (French) followed. This time, the renowned hi-end silver jewelry brand Chrome Hearts released their latest tee collection.  Without their well known trademarks like floral cross, dagger and fleur-de-lys, it's the five-star tee that will bring the luxury status back to the market.

OUR TECHNOLOGY IN FUTURE

#034 - Sony Tablet & Laptop Hybrid

Don't we always wonder 'What's the next big thing'? We certainly do! Besides looking at our phone during our commute, playing new apps on our tablet at home and, starring at big screen laptop and desktop in our office and our 60' tv at home, the fact that we are so hooked up to screens and heavy stream of information is almost overwhelming. Until that bubble burst, we are still asking for more.

Having so many devices is a tedious thing. Think about how you want your phone screen bigger, your laptop lighter, and your iPad comes with a keyboard... We are predicting our future is one of these big giant companies will come up with something combines all we need, and will forever replace the phone, laptop and tablet.

Trust me, this is already happening.
