FLORAL FOR GENTS

040 - Floral Collections

Suit by Versace. Shirt by Prada.

I am sure this post could potentially stir some controversial conversations among our gents circle. Floral prints used to be culturally regarded as feminine. Men buy flowers to their date, girlfriend and wife. It's something women in particular fond of: the vibrant colors, the smell, and it's unexplained message behind each individual type (and none of us could ever remember). Having said that, this collection of floral prints are created by some of the biggest name in the industry, it might be hard to imagine that you would trade your solid, stripes and plaids with these. My second thought is if you can buy a Hawaiian print shirt, why not?

Here's how to deal with any seemingly busy prints and patterns, you keep it as a focus and silence the rest of the outfits. Ride the print with your masculinity. The Prada shirt above is definitely my favorite. The floral is designed with the use of two colors, red and black, which happens to be one of the best combinations ever. Pair it with a solid suit and you are ready for a gent's night out.

Prada gives floral a big attention in the Spring Summer 2014 season. It's everywhere on the runway! The prints sit so well with the blazer and bomber jacket that gives me a big urge to get my hands on them.

Gucci also rides the heating trend with a lot of florals in their collections. The results is a well designed contemporary outfit that gives a solid statement. After seeing the whole collection, which one is your favorite? Do you own or will you attempt to purchase?
