HOW TO WEAR DOUBLE-BREASTED SUITS IN THE SUMMER

#050 - Double-breasted Suits

'Honestly, it's not easy to wear suits in the summer'

With temperature swinging between the 70s and 80s, it isn't too hard to imagine the suffering of wearing layers while walking down the street in the middle of New York. But damn! Man just look good in a suit, period!

Personally, I think pulling off a double-breasted jacket is tricky. Most of the time people regard its trendy but formal style, but a wrong style might also cause you be mistaken as a Donald Trump.

Well, we got some tips for you.

Sometimes the magic between formal and causal cocktails a style that is  dynamic, fun yet very forward and impressive. And I call it Hollywood Smart Casual. The 'they-don't-care' celebrities effortlessly steal your attention with a simple white tee-shirt and a suit jacket. Turns out not only it works for them, it is also fairly easy for us gents.

The Emporio Armani suits (Top) in a rich light grey color is all you need to steal the show. The best thing about a subtle color is... it allows you to dress up and down and fits into different occasions. But you won't feel over/underdress.

(Above) For formal dinner or cocktail situation, simply match the white shirt with dark color suit. Whether you decide to go with a tie or not, your double-breasted suit could be your one way ticket to the great impression.

HOW TO LEAVE A LASTING IMPRESSION AT THE OFFICE

049 - Office Style Inspirations

Suits by Zegna

Good Morning Gents!

For a lot of us, the boundaries of wearing a full suits has become more flexible. It doesn't have to be full black suits, and no one wants to look exactly like the nerd sitting right next to you. Therefore, here's some of the inspirations we found that will spice up your charm in this summer.

First off, consider suit separates. Mix and match colors has become very common and easy to shop. Keep your pants color subtle and you can throw on a more 'summer-ish' color blazer. Yes, we mean a light color! Because every individual piece is office appropriate, it never strikes an awkward 'too trendy' vibe to your colleague.

But yes! You look different. By different, I mean BETTER. The difference between charmer and office slave.

If suit pants aren't your office requirement, try differentiate your style with highlights of bright color.  (Left)

Casual smart style has been in the market for years, you have seen celebrity dressing similar styles. Here is the magic, your suits has to fit you well, then pair those killers with a crewneck shirt or sweater. (Center)

Mix and match patterns is also a way to show others you have a taste and know how to style. Keep your pieces in the same color tones and leave the texture on the jacket. (Right)

Hi Gents,

Take a second and look at the suit you are wearing to work, is it in black, navy or charcoal? In the world of office, there seems to be a limited color choices that are socially acceptable. Everyone wears the same color, same style, SAME UNIFORM.

This is going to change. In fact, it has been changing. The trend setters are showing men how you can add colors and patterns to your wardrobe without looking like an outcast. Here we proudly to point out the three colors (Light Gray, Deep Bright Blue and Saturated Teal) worth you trying it out in this Spring Summer season. You don't have to hate putting on the same boring suits to work afterwards.

Remember, you can always stick and become that American stereotype no one wants to admit or talk about. People at our Gent's club are leaders and influencers, being the same is not part of our blood.

Best

BLEND IN? OR STAND OUT? COLOR SPEAKS

#009 - The Contemporary Colors

Do you realize once we are in winter, our color options are drastically reduced? We can't wear light colors, no more white, ivory, but dark colors. At the end, we end up picking that navy blue jacket and black pants because it is just easy, mindless and it seems... 'appropriate'.

You are right, even designers tend to choose darken colors for their winter collections (Besides  Australia, Mexico, Brazil… the countries with no winter weather…). As popular (or boring) as navy blue and black are on the market, there are much more options out there. Of course, you can wear the same thing like everyone else on the street, or you can decide to show your taste of style beyond the safe choices. Like Matrix, a red pill or the blue pill… For our gents who are bold enough to explore and experiment, here are some classy styles that will keep the admiring attentions on you.

THE SEXY FRIDAY DRESS DOWN

#008 - Simple basics

Not everyone has the killer body to show off. Still a lot of us are hitting the gym, burn some fat, build some abs and gain extra two inches on the chest. Being bold is what makes you stand out from the pack. Get rid of the shirt between your body and the suit, then the only thing left is the fantasy to keep your date boiling inside out. Or keep it simple, pair a dark color tank top with the dark suits, no one can see through you, but they can feel the body heat passing thru that thin fabric. Now my gents, you just seal the deal for the Friday tonight.

Be sexy, because you can.
